“Our customers now have a fair alternative to commission-based meal vouchers.”
"Nos clients connaissent maintenant une alternative juste,” témoigne Claire, gérante d'un restaurant qui n'accepte plus que les titres-restaurant Worklife

Depuis ce mois de septembre, Claire et Michel, gérants du restaurant Locafé à Grenoble, ont décidé de n'accepter plus que les titres-restaurant Worklife. Claire nous explique les raisons de cette décision. Nous publions son témoignage sans aucune intervention éditoriale :
Michel and I are both managers of Locafé, a local, organic, and vegan restaurant in Grenoble. Ethics is one of the pillars on which our offering is based. The five products sourced from outside the European Union all carry a label certifying fair trade. For the rest, we give priority to organic farming in Isère, then France. We favor short supply chains to ensure fair remuneration.
In other words, we choose our partners very carefully, at all levels. Working with the main meal voucher issuers was one of our biggest regrets, as we felt forced to work with companies that had been convicted in court for anti-competitive practices. We continued to accept working with these companies because we understand that it is a significant tax advantage for the companies that offer them to their employees and also for the employees themselves. We didn't know of any alternatives, and it was crucial for some of our customers to be able to pay with them.
The other reason we felt trapped was the excessive fees charged by these companies. 5 to 6% for cards and 7.7% for checks, all fees included, if we consider it acceptable that they pay us 21 days after making the deposit (which allows them to continue investing our money for an additional 20 days). Not to mention the time needed to prepare restaurant checks correctly without incurring additional fees because we forgot to stamp, date, remove the corner, or something else.
Since we no longer accept WORKLIFE cards, our sales have not only remained unaffected, but most of our customers have also become more aware since we explained to them why we stopped accepting commission-based meal vouchers. As a result, without increasing our sales, we have increased our overall profits, and our customers now know about a fair alternative to commission-based meal vouchers."
