SNCF Connect and Worklife, for better employee mobility.

SNCF Connect and Worklife have joined forces to help you finance public transport, Sustainable Commuting and Mobility Credit for your employees.

It is possible to pay with the Worklife mobility card on the SNCF Connect website and application. All employees equipped with a Worklife card can finance their train journeys, TGV, TGV Pro, TER, INTERCITÉS, public transport in the Ile-de-France region, including Transilien, short-distance carpooling and subscriptions, according to the mobility policy chosen by their company. All they have to do is enter their Worklife card number at the time of payment. We explain how in this article.

SNCF Connect, the digital leader in mobility in France

SNCF Connect is the SNCF's mobile application since January 2022. Heir to OUI.sncf it is now the digital leader in mobility in France and allows users to plan their trips, book and buy train tickets, manage their reservations, receive alerts and information on traffic in real time and benefit from many other services. It is available for free on iOS and Android and is appreciated for its modern and intuitive travel experience.

Among the offers proposed by SNCF Connect :

  • The Unlimited Pass, which allows users to travel unlimited on all TER and INTERCITÉS lines for one month.
  • The Week-end Pass, which allows users to travel unlimited on all TER and INTERCITÉS lines for two consecutive days.
  • The Family Pass, which allows families to travel unlimited for two consecutive days at a preferential rate.
  • The Pass Jeune, which allows people under 26 to travel unlimited on all TER and INTERCITÉS lines at a preferential rate.
  • The Pass Voyageur, which allows users to benefit from advantageous fares on all journeys.
  • The Discovery Pass, which offers users discounts on TER and INTERCITÉS journeys as well as access to exclusive offers.

But SNCF Connect is not stopping there and is planning some new features for 2023, which should delight these users even more!

Worklife, a complete corporate mobility offer

Worklife is an employee benefits solution that includes meal vouchers, a teleworking allowance, personal services and employee mobility. The mobility offer is broken down to cover all employee needs through the financing of public transport, the Sustainable CommutingThe mobility offer covers all employee needs through the financing of public transport, the " Crédit Mobilité " and the "Indemnité kilométrique" or fuel allowance.

Each company has the choice to build its own mobility policy according to its challenges and the needs of its employees.

How to meet the new mobility needs of employees?

While the car used to be the most popular means of transportation for French employees' commute to work, more and more of them are now opting for alternative modes of transportation such as bicycles or public transportation. Driven by the COVID-19 crisis, French employees are now keen on more sustainable modes of transportation that are in line with their needs, but also their values.

This is exactly what Worklife's mobility offer is all about, offering French companies the flexibility to build the most appropriate mobility policy. Thanks to a smart payment card, employees can pay for their train, RER, metro, tramway and TGV expenses, as well as all their sustainable mobility trips: bicycles, scooters, electric scooters or self-service, carpooling and car-sharing.

What are the best practices to promote sustainable mobility in companies?

By joining forces with the Worklife solution, SNCF Connect is helping to simplify access to ecological alternatives for all its users, in particular through the use of Sustainable Commuting and Crédit Mobilité. All employees with a Worklife card will be able to finance all the offers distributed by SNCF Connect*: public transport in the Île-de-France region, TER, OUIGO, TGV INOUI, INTERCITÉS, bus (*depending on the mobility policy chosen by their company). This partnership has the common objective of improving the mobility experience of French employees in a positive and lasting way and promoting more sustainable modes of mobility, in particular as an alternative to individual car journeys. It is also a virtuous collaboration for companies looking for solutions to promote sustainable mobility and supports their desire to implement mobility plans adapted to the new needs of their employees, both in terms of modes of use and their financing.

How to defend the purchasing power of employees?

In 2022, the French will spend an average of 174 euros per month on transport and 216 euros per month on car journeys (according to the Opinion Way study for Sofinco on mobility), i.e. increases in expenditure of 30 to 45% in just two years.

For motorists, it is also important to know that 65% of the fuel budget of French employees concerns exclusively home-work journeys. Faced with inflation and rising fuel prices, companies are responsible for the purchasing power of their employees.

Faced with rising prices, French employees are diversifying their modes of transport by favouring public transport or sustainable mobility and expect significant help from their employers. It is in this context that SNCF Connect and Worklife support companies in their commitment to defend the purchasing power of their employees.

Thanks to the Worklife mobility solution, companies significantly contribute to the daily mobility expenses of their employees by subsidizing them via the payment card. At the same time, they facilitate the travel of frequent travelers, those French employees who have chosen to telecommute; a population that has been growing steadily since 2020.
