How to meet the new mobility needs of employees?
Whilethe car used to be the most popular means of transport for commuting between home and work for French employees, more and more of them are now opting for alternative modes of transport such as cycling or public transport. Buoyed by the COVID-19 crisis, French employees are now keen to adopt more sustainable modes of transport, in line with their needs and values, and that's exactly what Worklife's mobility offer is all about, offering French companies the flexibility to build the most appropriate mobility policy. Thanks to a smart payment card, employees can pay for their train, RER, metro, tramway and TGV travel expenses, as well as all their sustainable mobility needs: bicycles, scooters, electric or self-service scooters, car-sharing and car-pooling.
What are the best practices to promote sustainable mobility in companies?
Byjoining forces with the Worklife solution, SNCF Connect is helping to simplify access to ecological alternatives for all its users, notably through the use of Sustainable Commuting and Crédit Mobilité. This means that all employees with a Worklife card will be able to finance all the offers distributed by SNCF Connect*: public transport in the Île-de-France region, TER, OUIGO, TGV INOUI, INTERCITÉS, bus (*depending on the mobility policy chosen by their company).
Theshared aim of thispartnership is therefore to bring about a positive and lasting change in the mobility experience of French employees, and to promote more sustainable modes of mobility, particularly as an alternative to journeys by private car. It's also a virtuous partnership for companies looking for solutions to promote sustainable mobility, and supports their desire to implement mobility plans tailored to employees' new needs, in terms of both usage and financing.
How to defend the purchasing power of employees?
In2022, the French will spend an average of €174 per month on transport, and €216 on car journeys, an increase of between 30% and 45% in two years according to the Opinion Way for Sofinco study on mobility. 65% of employees' fuel budgets are spent on journeys between home and work. Faced with inflation and rising prices, employees are diversifying their modes of transport, favoring sustainable mobility and public transport, and are looking to their employers for support.
Against this backdrop, SNCF Connect and Worklife have joined forces to help companies support employees' purchasing power. The Worklife mobility solution, via a subsidized payment card, enables companies to contribute to transport expenses while meeting the needs of teleworkers, a population set to grow rapidly since 2020.
Worklife, a complete corporate mobility offer
Worklife is an employee benefits solution that includes meal vouchers, teleworking allowances, personal services and employee mobility. The mobility offer is designed to cover all employee needs through the financing of public transport, the Forfait Mobilités Durables (sustainable mobility package), the Crédit Mobilité (mobility credit ) and the Prime Transport (transport allowance), giving each company the choice to build its own mobility policy according to the challenges and needs of its employees.
